Eldicare Consortium Meeting in Prague, Czech Republic

The partners of the Erasmus+ project: “Eldicare: Matching skills in a growing European Silver Economy” met on January 8th in Prague, Czech Republic, to welcome two new members to the consortium.

  • European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB) is a European umbrella association whose members are state associations, associations, coordinating institutes of education and educational providers at a national, regional and local level. The objective work done by the EVBB is the qualitative improvement of vocational education and training in European countries and an increase in the efforts being carried out in education at a European level.
  • Association of Social Care Providers of the Czech Republic (APSS ČR) is the largest professional organization of social care providers in the country. Its main objective is the development and improving the quality of social services. APSS ČR represents and defends interests of its members, it mediates and spreads abroad scientific and research knowledge into social care providers activities, it gives home and foreign experiences, it educates and it informs.

Also, the European Ageing Network was welcomed as an Associated Partner of the Project. The vision of EAN is to improve the quality of life for older persons; support its members in making each day a better day for their clients by providing high-quality housing, services and care; establishing good contacts with EU institutions like the relevant Directorates-General of the Commission, the Council and the Parliament and its Inter-group on Ageing; becoming a key network for the providers for the ageing sector.

The discussion of the meeting steered around the dissemination and communication of the project, as well as the strategy to be followed from now on to achieve even better results.
